Good quality food and service.

A long established Sukiyaki, beef and veggies in one hot pot with sweet soy sauce based broth. For 4000yen "Matsu" course, they use the highest Japanese beef grade "A5" wagyu beef. When I visited, it was Kagoshima prefecture A5 grade wagyu beef. This restaurant, also, operates a meat shop in front and sells meat and "to go" item as well.

Very good traditional Japanese sukiyaki. The service is great. Must try if you visits Hakodate.The A5 beef 100g comes with good price. Pork are also nice. The dessert which is sherbet ice cream is also amazing.

Not friendly to foreigners, very disappointed

We were satisfied that we were able to eat delicious sukiyaki according to the rumor. I rushed to eat it and ate "pine" meat. It was meltable meat that you can enjoy extraordinary life in proportion to the money you pay. I wanted to eat some additional pork and asked, but the pork sukiyaki was really delicious. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat croquettes, but Sukiyaki Shirataki was the best in my life. It is a recommended shop.

Was able to get a reservation, possibly because it's lull period, language not an issue, almost impeccable English.Service standards once seated leaves alot to be desired, hasty and rushed.

Authentic shabu shabu lunch was real good. They have two lunch menu: A and B courses. The difference is weather you can get a kroket. I definitely recommend you to choose B to enjoy the cranchy kroket in addition to shabu shabu. The building itself is beautiful and reminded me of Sprited Away. Also, the service was good and staffs were friendly. You can enjoy your meal in a private room. Since this restaurant is very popular and known, you better make a reservation!

I heard that it was crowded, so I made a reservation in advance.It seemed to be very crowded, probably because of the end of the year, but I managed to make a reservation.By the way, this shop seems to have good drinks.On the day, everyone enjoyed drinking and eating. The meat was also very tender and the taste was great. Beer and wine are also delicious. It was a little expensive, but it was a place I couldn't easily come to, so I was very satisfied.The inside of the store was quite tasteful. I want to come to lunch this time.

We don't have the reservation. They told us to come back in 30 mins. Good quality of food and awesome service. It is worth of the money. Definitely come back again with reservation next time.

First time try the sukiyaki in Japan, the food is good and the decoration just like go back to the ancient time. Better make a reservation before you go.

The meat is of course delicious, but I like the atmosphere of the store. Hikaru stairs, tatami corridors, jagged floors, slightly stooped? I think it's calm. You can relax in a private room.I hope the toilet is a little bigger.

I only use butchers, but the side dishes and bento are the best. Meat is also sold out. Moreover, it is straight.

Ordered a limited-edition Japanese black beef A5 sirloin cow course 4,600 yen x 2. When I ate it lightly and cooked it, it tasted like it would blow.Is there such meat !? It was so shocking that I thought.

The A5 wagyu meat was so incredibly tender. The broth was delicious and dipping the meat in the raw egg before eating was so great. The waitresses spoke a bit of English so that also made things easier.Desert was a yuza sorbet with tea that was the perfect ending for the meal.Reservations necessary

I had been waiting for lunch because sukiyaki was reasonably priced, but when I went without reservations, it was said to be full. Well, it's a popular restaurant, so when I was going home, I said that I would have a regular course instead of lunch.Hmm? Wait a minute!Was it full?What does that mean?Of course, I refused and returned.I was disappointed because it was my favorite store

Wonderful wagyu beef and the restaurant reeks the old time of Hakodate

Besides the meal, the interior of the building was so gorgeous. And the lady who served me was extraordinarily kind. I had such a good time there, and I wish to visit this place some time soon.

The best sukiyaki we have had in Japan. Excellent beef, delicious croquettes, and all served in a private room in this 116 year old restaurant.

It was first time for me to try real Sukiyaki and will be the best one in my life. Hakodate is famous for its various kinds of fresh seafood but you definitely should try this authentic Sukiyaki. Great place to enjoy Sukiyaki even if it costs a lot more than any other food in Hakodate. Making a reservation is necessary beforehand.

You need a RESERVATION! A RESERVATION will grant you a table at this ALWAYS packed restaurant. The service is fast, the food is great, and the price is LOW! What are you waiting for? Tell your hotel to make a reservation for you ASAP!

I called to make reservation before dinner date almost 1.5 month earlier. It was almost fully booked. Then I have to revise my dinner time to be 4pm which was only period still available. The restaurant is around 5 min walk from Tram station and I was there 3:50PM. The restaurant told me that there is my name for reservation at 4PM. They had been trying to ask many questions but the result is no seat for us!!! It is really bad... very upset and disappointed!!!!For anyone who like to eat at this restaurant, pls ensure that they have been reserved a table for you. But for me this restaurant is not professional doing the business.

AWESOME. The resto is always full so pls make reservation before going. The 3300 yen A5 set is great but I personally prefer lean meat so the 2600 yen A3 one is even more delicious to me. There is a very friendly lady serve us during the meal. It was a terrific experience. Highly recommended!!
